Welcome to our blog! Our goal here at TruLearn is to empower parents to raise and homeschool their children with confidence and excellence. My name is Serena Augustin, a homeschool mother to five very active children in 2nd - 10th grade. I am also a teacher with 20 years of experience and a master's degree in elementary education. I currently work for TruLearn teaching classes to students, offering support and training to parents, helping students with learning disabilities, and working to build a resource for homeschool families.
Having worked with homeschool moms for the last 20 years as a tutor, advisor, and friend, I know firsthand the insecurities and inadequacies that many parents feel in starting out on the journey to educate their children at home. This blog was birthed from a desire to give parents a place to find answers to questions you may have about homeschooling, to find support for struggling students, and to inspire you not to settle for anything less than your best in motherhood and your journey through the homeschool experience. You can do this!
We also want you to know you are not alone. There is so much help and support available to parents if you just know where to find it. We hope we can help you in your search for answers. As we begin this journey, we are building a supply of FREE videos, blog posts, classes, and many other resources to give you the support you need to make your homeschool experience rewarding and successful.
