Service Description

Do you want to teach your kindergartener to read but are not sure how to go about it? This class is for you! I am opening up a class to work with mothers and their children once a week. I will start with the basics and show you how to get started. I will give you a set of things to do with your child each day for the rest of the week. You will take the next four days and do it at home. We will meet each week, and I will give you the next steps to do with your child until you feel confident that you can do it on your own, or you can stay with me and continue throughout the school year, learning step by step what to do so your child can read without tears. I will only charge by the month, so if you are done earlier, you only pay for what you need. The goal is that you will walk away an expert in teaching reading. I will also start with the basics of spelling, which includes no writing at all for quite some time. We need to train their ear first. If you sign up for this class, please do not teach them the letter names ahead of time. I would prefer they do not know the names at all, for years, literally. If they already know them, don't worry, but don't keep practicing them. Let's hope they forget for now:) I'll explain later. I agree to the Terms & Conditions: • For all classes & courses, before August 31 withdrawals are granted a full refund. Students may withdraw from a course through the second week that class starts. After the second week of classes, no refund is given.
