Service Description

This is a single semester class open to middle school and high school students who would like to begin to develop the ability to communicate with the Deaf through American Sign Language (ASL). ASL is its own language, involving more than pantomime. There is a unique grammatical structure, rules, and reasons for this conceptual way of communication, and many people in the United States depend on it. We will cover finger spelling, cultural notes, facial grammar, and basic communication. By the end of the semester, we will be able to hold short conversations, as well as interpret a Christmas song.

Cancellation Policy

I agree to the Terms & Conditions: • For all classes & courses, before August 31 withdrawals are granted a full refund. Students may withdraw from a course through the second week that class starts. After the second week of classes, no refund is given.
